This might have been covered already, but how will founders get a copy of the game key. Are we getting a serial code emailed to us on the 20th or just update the existing beta through steam.

You should have Star Control: Origins in your list. That's the game. 
It should update come the 20th.
You may need to change the beta settings in the property tab for the game, or it may reset automatically. It probably wont matter at first if both are set to the same build (beta and live). If you opt out of any beta's you will get the 'live' build. The beta build is normally used by the developer to test their changes on steam prior to making them live. I know this because I released a space game on steam last summer and I'm a game developer and programmer. The game was influenced much by the star control series. There is a demo version of the game if anyone would like to try it out. Star Fleet Armada: Rogue Adventures. It might make the next two weeks go by a bit quicker, as I too have been waiting for a new Star Control game for many, many years. I was also glad to see that starflight will also be coming back. I plan to make a pledge for it on fig.co in the next week or so. It's great to see all these games that I grew up with, and that were very popular making a comeback.
Have they given a time the game will unlock on the 20th yet? Is it the same time simultaneously or is it dependent upon your locations time? For example, if it unlocks on the 20th at midnight eastern standard time, and it is a simultaneous release, I would get it at 9PM PST on the 19th, since I am 3 hours later. If its a local release time, then I would have to wait those 3 hours until it hit midnight here.
I hereby start a petition for Founders to get the game a day earlier ... I mean ... Come on ... 
Steam unlocks games generally at 1pm EST/10am PST and does so for all regions simultaneously
You'll notice that the "New releases" list on steam gets populated by a ton of games at that time for this reason
All founders should have their Steam keys now.
If not, check http://download.stardock.com which should, I believe, show you your Steam key. If not, contact [email protected] and they can set you up.
I entered the steam code and it said I already had it installed. I'm guessing it's because I've already been playing the beta.
At this point will I just need to change the properties in the beta tab to 'None'? Should I do that now, or just wait until tomorrow?

When does this release full? just tried to play and the same crappy limited beta is still here on my steam.
Apparently, Steam pushes content/releases at +/- 1PM worldwide. I am ussing that is 1PM US time ? So for us in Europe this might be 6 hours later then ?
Well cool then I'm going to nap for about 5 hours as I work this evening. I wish they would tell us the exact time of update because Most of my games launch at midnight and obviously this one is not doing that since that was 7 hours ago.
