Dropbox Sucks
What a bummer!
Guys, I have been notified that my Dropbox public folder will soon cease to be public. This means that all my images in the forums will soon be small black Xes.
I apologize.
Dropbox may lose a customer.

Well your small black Xes will have lots of company, there are quite a few little black Xes or such scattered around, and sometimes in the most inconvenient places.
I've thought about using OneDrive for these things, but I'm not sure how long MS would put up with the pecking at their bandwidth either.
That stinks, Jim! For mine, the only person who can decide what happens to personal files/date is the owner of those files/data. If you want files to be private or public it should be your decision, not some upstart executive's.
Sadly, a lot of software developers [cloud based included] have taken leaves out of Microsoft's, Apple's books... in laying down the law and telling users what they can or can't do instead of best catering to users wants and needs. Worse still, most software and OSes will become subscription models that are based in the cloud, not one one's PC, and while that may be okay for the modern yuppy set, it isn't what we older users want or will accept with open arms.
Well, one way around this is for Stardock to modernize WinCustomize to allow for drag and drop image and file insertion, and to host the images and files themselves for the forums just like they do for uploads. All problems related to this are solved then.
Sorry to hear this Jim.
I've often wondered why WC doesn't host forum images when it hosts other images such as wallpapers and screenshots on other parts of the site. It would make sense, given the nature of things around here: artworks and skins, etc.... being able to show them in the forums without having to sign up with an awful image hosting site that's emblazeoned with advertisting and other horrible, offensive stuff.
