Windows Logon

Hope I'm in the right place. I have never had a logon username or password for Windows 7 Ultimate x64 since I'm the only one here at home. Now, for the past week, I'm occasionally asked for them. I then have to go to safe mode and run the latest registry back up to fix this.

There has to be a better way. Anything I can do to prevent this? Thanks for your help, you guys have been such help in the past;-)

Go into control panel and adjust user accounts settings to not need a password.

Could not find. I found how to change your password. I didn't have one to begin with.

Is there something such as auto login?

Did you forget you updated to Windows 10 perhaps?

lots of people had the same problem after updating to Windows 10 because Microsoft decided everyone has to have a logon like it or not..... and on top of that, you are not permitted to have a simple easy password, you have to jump through their hoops like a good little dogie and satisfy all the stupid password criteria..... and that was the thing that really pushed my patience over the line!

I got a fix off the internet but it did not stop the IDIOT password check coming up after waking from sleep, so i had to disable sleep mode.

ok well, there is allot of stuff that comes up when i google 'disable logon windows 7'

They all say similar things by the looks.... here is one example; "How you get there depends on what version of Windows you're using: Windows 7 & Vista: Click Start, type netplwiz , and press ENTER. Windows XP: Click Start>Run, type control userpasswords2 , and press ENTER. Windows 8: Use the Search Charm to search for netplwiz . In the Apps section, click or tap netplwiz."

Hope this helps.
