Not quite the same thing, but I took a trip down memory lane last night and revisited 'Joe User... Joke User'.... AKA 'The Pirate Thread'
Yeah, it was good, seeing what old friends had to say back then in 2006, remembering the fun we had.

LI was better when it was mostly the Prof, I admit, and a few nutjobs have been dominating the comments with childish pissing contests of late, but there's still good stuff & good links there for the most part.
Steyn never fails to deliver, always manages to knock it out of the park. His writing lands in the same brain space where the pleasure of good music resides.

I hear they have some very interesting articles over there.

Yeah, I read somewhere the nakedness was being dropped for articles, not that it bothers me any. What would upset me more is if Stardock dropped the WC forums for naked pics of gorgeous women.

True story - c30 years ago: The Library of Congress had a sub to playboy. Purists demanded the library cancel its subscription. The LOC complied - canceled sub to Playboy. Irony: the version of Playboy in question was the brail edition. This means the readers were actually reading Playboy for the articles.

I go to joe user for non galciv 3 stuff. I sometimes go to galciv2. For the most part the posts are the same under recentno matter where you go so it doesn't matter. So there is no reason to check tiny little frogs or other ones. It would would be nice to have a galciv site that excludes other gaming sites from other game catagories under recent. Does wikipedia count. And yes facebook is really my only social media site besides galciv. It gets a lot of attention. The only problem i get with facebook it kept throwing me off for friending friends and acquantences and claiming i don't know them.

That happened to me too.....buggered if I can see how its creator made a squillion bucks with that degree of incompetence....
