Dropbox Sucks

Hey Guys and Gals, I just wanted to touch on the fact that all the pictures I have posted on Wincustomize forums have gone to black X marks.

Apparently, according to an email I got from Dropbox, my public links have been suspended due to excessive traffic.

I apologize for this inconvenience.

I have a 58 GB account with Dropbox and I seriously doubt that I have had "excessive traffic", but, alas, it is what it is.

I will be seeking a better alternative.

Excessive punctuation, maybe......

man.....that's messed up Jim. After many years with the same hosting company , mine shut down and I was forced to look elsewhere for a solution. After many trials with half a dozen free companies that turned out to be crap, I gave in and got a paid service. Image Shack wasn't too bad, price-wise, and it was a one-off payment for an entire year with unlimited content. Considering the amount of preview links I use to display my icon packages, it seems well worth the minimal cost and I don't have to think about it for a year at least. Good luck with your search my friend.     --Ace --

my public links have been suspended due to excessive traffic.

They didn't say the "excessive traffic" was human, though.

I warned you about all that sheep pr0n.  :sheep:

yeah.... I miss the good old days where Image Shack was free....

I've used Photobucket since then for screenshots...and they did the same thing to me twice when I had pics in the screenshot thread and it got too much traffic....

wouldn't have thought that was an issue anymore though... screenshot thread isn't quite dead... but it's in a coma... took until the 6th of this month to even get it up and running...

but it could be good news... means Tom's threads are running hot...  ;)

Ok, after a talk with Dropbox, I got the suspension lifted, for now. I expect it'll happen again. Meantime, I will look into other hosts.
