Nice color on your forums Keith.

RIAA is doing a good job

You obviously don't have a contract with the RIAA.

how could I ever get a contract with the RIAA?

personaly I hate kazaa/ other sharing programs,

its stealing, you can compare it with ripping, taking something that isn't yours and distribute it yourself, hope they get all the users and make the pay >

Thanks LA Werewolf.

Yeah Styl they sure are doing a good job..... all them 7 and 12 year olds their going after.... Real effective, huh? Surely bound to gain the RIAA much respect.

Yes.... I know, they are going after the parents. My viewpoint is that the kids shouldn't be named in any lawsuits at all. Parents should be taking the full responsibility and the full consequences of their childrens' actions.

Like the majority of people here, I don't condone piracy in any way, shape or form, but let's be real about it.

Keith, thats true, however when they going after the parents, it das help.
The 'free music' thing has become too big, (and believe me, when I was young I also taped music from the radio to a tape)
But artist are really suffering from this, so it just has to stop.

nesecerily the hard way.

Artists are suffering because the RIAA takes most of the cash. Artists receive approx 8% of the revenue from CD sales. That is really poor. The RIAA dropped the ball with the technology. Like always, they shunned it and now they are lagging, trying to catch up. I, for one, do not want to hurt artists, that is why I encourage people to see live music, where the artists make most of their revenue.

But harassing and terrorizing the customers that you want to turn around and buy your product is just completely wrong. Terrorizing 60 million Americans who file share will only cause a backlash.

Keith, Styl Skinner and I weren't way off. My site is about the RIAA, but we should stick more to looking at the web site design.

Why just the design, content is important too...

ahwell, we will just listen to mike

It was fine to say "hey, I've got stuff about the RIAA on my site too", but from there it was starting to turn into a discussion about the RIAA rather than about the web sites themselves. That's all. Now I'm steering us off topic, so I'm going to stop typing now.

Argh. This thread died...if you want to continue the RIAA discussion, we can start a new one.

Very plain Vanilla and always unfinished (of course!) but it's a 'Business' site.
