Custom Map, AI Won't Conquer Additional gravity wells

I recently made a 4 player map. The AI only stays on its home planet and won't progress any further. Below you'll find a link to a screen shot. If this forum has a preferred way for sharing the map file itself, I'll gladly upload it.

How long have you let the game run?

Off the bat, for yellow on the right, I see a Greenhouse world as their first stepping stone.  That requires a fair number of labs to colonize.

On the left, blue, I think that looks like Oceanic?  Same deal, there.

Would be best if you gave each player access to at least 1 world that doesn't require research or a large fleet to colonize (ie, Asteroid, Moon, Barren).

If sharing of the map file ends up being needed, pastebin.com.  The galaxy file is nothing more than a text file... you can copy/paste the contents to pastebin then give us the link.

EDIT: And sorry, I'm assuming you're using Galaxy Forge? (Not the map generator accessible through the game itself.)

For future reference, anything to do with a custom made map (where you're experiencing the issue only on that map) probably fits best in the modding section.  Not a big deal, I think it might be fine here, too, just dunno how often folks who know these actual things would look in Technical.

I let it run for 2 hours in another game. I am using Galaxy forge. I'll adjust the random planet types then try again. Thanks

changing the closest planet fixed it. I wouldn't have thought the AI stumped by that. I guess I assumed that they would simply move on to other planets that were more easily colonized. thanks again.

Yeah, you can either adjust those, or add a moon/asteroid on the back side of the starting worlds.

Without the game in front of me, I think the Oceanic and Greenhouse worlds take ~4(?) labs to be able to colonize.  AI will not scuttle structures... so typically you're looking at them only being able to build 3... maybe 4 at their homeworld (split between mil/civ), as normal start gives them 2 frigate factories and they'll immediately build 1 cap shipyard (quick start giving them that cap shipyard from start).
