Can't edit custom race

Hi all,

I'm having a little problem setting up a new game.  I want make a new custom race ( i have made a couple of others), but the game won't let me edit the tech of the new race.  The tab for technology is grayed out.  Has anyone seen this before?

I've never heard of anything like this. Are you absolutely certain, that you are not trying to edit one of the stock races by accident? They are the only ones, for whom the technology tab is greyed out.

Could you send us a screenshot of it grayed out? After checking my own, it appears to be working.

Hi there,

 

I'm bumping this because I have the same problem. I downloaded the Ultimate Edition from Steam and I can't edit my techs on starting a custom race. Also I cant change the super ability.

 

Is this a bug/Steam problem?
