Advent Rebel game.
Every few hours LOLCRASH
Im tired of having to repeatedly save out of fear of a runtime error. The game freezes, ping sound, alt tab out, see the error. close it. This is BS.
Verify integrity of your cache via steam would be my first step. You should only get 1 file that needs replacing (as I recall it always does and is not an issue).
Perhaps a dumb question but are you using any mods? If so I recommend disabling them and then starting a new game to see if it's something particular in the game you had going or if it's your install.
If, after starting a new game, you still experience this issue I would recommend you uninstall and reinstall and then, if this issue is still rearing its ugly head, I would suggest contacting support@stardock.
My internet connection is shitty, 500 kbps peak. Dropbox me a steam compatibale perhaps?
What you are suggesting is piracy. I shall not be assisting you anymore.
How is that piracy? I had to leave the download on overnight just to get it to complete, and now this fucking bug. I will even screenshot my steam to show you I have the game.

I would like to have you navigate to the following directory and run the following files:
32bit: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\redist
64bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\redist
- DXSETUP.exe
-vcredist_2005sp1_x86.exe
-vcredist_x86.exe
Also please note that 1 file that is missing in Steam is normal.
