ok this is the stupidest...

I bought this game on steam but I need a dang stardocks account just to play with my buds

now its telling me my account isnt valid, what am I doing wrong, do I need to connect my accounts or somthign..

Just use Tunngle or Hamachi to play the game online via its LAN functionality.
