Windows Blinds don´t work with Windows 8.1 update 1

HAllo i have download die spring update of windows 8.1, wehen the update is finish windows blinds dont work the themes are not aplly:(

Please fix this as son as posible.

I need to report another problem. Here's the history:

installed Windows 8.1 Update (1)

backed up the C:\ drive (OS drive)

downloaded new updates from Windows Updates, which became available after the 8.1 Update (1) installation

rebooted into Windows, only the cursor showing on the desktop

rebooted to Safe Mode, uninstalled Windowblinds

booted into Windows, desktop/UI was just fine

performed a (clean) install of Windowblinds 8.04, installation worked

rebooted, opened Windowblinds, applied a style, one of the presets that loads with the installation

the screen flashed clear/hazy over and over, Windows was inoperable

 

 

EDIT:  I forgot a critical bit of information (I added the missing info, above).  Windowblinds actually worked well after the 8.1 Update 1 installation.  The problem I reported above only occurred after I installed new Windows updates that became available after the 8.1 Update installation was complete.  I have since reverted to the Windows load that I backed up immediately after installing 8.1 Update.  After restoring from the fresh backup, I went to Windows Update and installed all the new "Security" updates, but not any of the "Update for Windows 8.1 for X64-based System" updates, nor the .Net update.  Windowblinds 8.04 is working perfectly now.

Are you using 64 or 32 bit as in testing on 32 bit everything looks fine with that update.

I am pleased to say we have this fixed internally and will aim to push an update out on Wednesday.

Thankfully the OS update was an optional one.  An alternative way to boot would have been to hold down ctrl on login as that disables WB.

Yes, you have to boot into safe mode and uninstall KB2955164.

I also look forward to the Wednesday update indicated by Neil :-)  I encountered the same problem as LaytonQ...reported it last night as ticket#:  QCA-460-73497

I installed WindowBlinds 8.05.  Windows 8.1 Update (1) now has all updates and the previous screen flashing is gone.  Thanks for the WB fix.
