Screen Resolution Issue (Windows Bootcamp, Mac)

Hello, I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong forum, but I'll cut to the chase. I recently installed Windows onto my MacBook Pro to run Sins Rebellion, as you can't with the Mac's operating system. As I am sure I will run into some issues first placing this, my problem is that my screen resolution is very dodgy. I enter the menu with an outrageously small screen resolution to where I can barely read the options. I will enter video to adjust my settings. Once I find the resolution I am comfortable with, I am able to select and adjust. However, when it converts to the setting, I can't accept the selection, it enters a black screen and within half of a second I am back at my desktop. I will attempt to re-enter the game via the icon on my taskbar, and the outrageous setting has returned. I am not a computer person, and haven't a clue as to decide where to begin with this. But I'm not sure if this is related to either an outdated video driver that caused issues with the black screen, or the issue with a similar black screen problem. Any assistance is appreciated. I miss this game and just want to get back to playing! Thank You!

There's no reason not to update your video drivers (who knows, they may be outdated and once you update all will be well), you may also want to step up the resolution in increments

For example:

  • Starting Resolution 480 x 320
  • 1st Adjustment 720 x 350
  • 2nd Adjustment 1024 x 640
  • 3rd Adjustment 1280 x 720
  • 4th Adjustment 1366 x 768
  • Up to your desired resolution

Doing the above adjustment process you may find that you can't play at 1280 x 720 but you can play at 1024 x 640 and then the problem is narrowed and can be more easily debugged.

Hope this helps, be sure to report back on how things are going.
