Inability to access Multiplayer

So I've installed Sins in the last 7 days, and have the most up to date version of the game. Despite this, when I try and access the internet multiplayer part of the game from the main menu, the game tells me that it has detected an older version of Sins and to ensure that I get the latest update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice, as well as restarting steam, and still the problem persists. If anyone could offer a solution to this problem, I would be greatly appreciative.

What is your exact version number in the lower right hand corner of the main menu?

You're probably trying to hit the release server using the beta build there. If you disable beta versions in Steam and roll back to the release version you should be able to connect. If you want to stick with the beta build, you need to change the ICO port to 8000 in the settings file. See the beta sticky for more details.
