Redownloading GalCiv2

While this isn't a bug I didn't know where else to post this.

 

I know this has been asked any number of times through the years BUT..

 

I want to put my original Gal Civ2 gold edition on a new computer. How do I get the latest update as well as access to Metaverse?

If you have registered the game, you can download the fully updated installer directly from Stardock. You can find the installer under My Downloads, once you've logged in.

I've never used the Metaverse, so I can't answer that question.

I was wondering if Stardock was ever going to add GalCiv 2 to the list. I've just recently downloaded them all and poked at them. I'll do more tests later, but it seems that downloading the TA version will give you all 3 versions of the game (no need to download the other installers). Unfortunately (or fortunately if it annoys you), the installer does not place shortcut icons on the desktop, so you will have to manage that yourself.

The TA version includes all updates, so no need to worry about updates (there is also no plans to make new updates at this time). If you want fixes, you will have to look into modding, or downloading mods.

Well the Metaverse worked just fine. I just had to log on when I started my game. I'll have to try the link Gunathor provided.
