Hoping someone has this answer for me.

I never updated to IE10. However since it has been available most of the time when I open IE9 a full screen window opens telling me I need to update my browser. Havbe to close out this window for IE9 to open. Have searched all my start up programs and nothing there from what I can see directed to this update.

Yes I know I can switch browsers but looking for an answer to this pop up window.

Try investigating this further by hovering over a link in the popup and see if you can find out where it is trying to direct you to Dave. If it is going to Microsoft, then it is them doing it, if it is going to another unrelated site, then you have a problem with a Trojan on your PC more than likely.

I was getting the same thing for a while, Tom.... with ie10. Clearly it wasn't detecting correctly. It also advised to update to FF,Chrome as well. Never went to any link, though.

I find it hard to believe anyone is going to believe me but will say what I see.

It only pops up when clicking on a forum thread link such as the one I'm on. This is what pops up

Did you know that your Internet Explorer is out of date?

Underneath this it list all 5 browsers used. IE, Chrome, Firefox and a couple of others.

I have just spent 45 minutes using IE9 clicking every link that could be clicked on different sites. On stardock I opened this forum thread and it was ok till I clicked on the second page and up poped the window I'm having a problem with. It has poped up on different forum threads also. I have run a full scan with Malwarebytes, CCleaner and they are clean. The computer is running great and refuse to reformat just for this. It is a pain as I have to move up and close it out but will live with it I guess. I will say it again and yes will be told it has nothing to do with stardock but on the forums it's the only place it happens. OK, i'm done with this and thanks for the replies.

One last thing I would like to add and have never seen before.

When I view the page source under this tag

"

<

formname="aspnetForm"method="post"id

="aspnetForm">

 "

I get lines and lines of code after the above line and it's very long, maybe a few pages long. Can't find this on any other page and seems to be added after the full window pop up shows.

Ahhh, possibly something Stardock has going on WC then, but coded incorrectly as it should not show up when a subscriber is logged in.  Probably need to email [email protected] and wait Dave.

I thought it was doing it every time you opened your browser from what you initially posted.

Tom, I really spend little time on the net except for wincustomize. I never usually keep IE open when not using it and when I turn it on the first place I goto is wincustomize and forums. Earier I was chcking all the golf and Nascar schedules and more more about them. Realized I never had a popup so tried many more links. Went back on WC, clicked on a forum thread and boom there it was. Tried the same thing again and it wasn't till I went back on WC forumn that it showed again.
