Windows 8 a problem, what else.

Windows 8 a problem, what else.

I installed win8 on my three computers and have not had more than the typical problems expressed by others. Well my Husband wanted me to install it on his computer … but this time there was a problem. I cannot get to the internet from anywhere besides the win8 start menu, not acceptable to hubbie. Everything checks out fine, drivers, network adapters, network checks and troubleshooting guides etc. I am at a loss as to where to go or what else to check. I have Start8 on all 4 computers. Please help…

....oh and it even works on your clunky win-doze ATE.

I'm back in 7 where I can input text without some moron hilighting things I don't notice and screwing up the typing.

I'm still waiting for Windows 9: Resistance Is Futile Edition. ;)

Winamp isn't exactly the best MP3 playing software out there. iTunes is a heck of a lot easier to use. WMP as well.

I'm fond of the 5 version myself, but I know a lot of people like the lighter 2-3 version.  Main thing probably is.. Get it from WinAmp.  I don't remember if there were any options for "extras", but if there were it was the typical check/uncheck, and I did just bring it down again a couple of months ago.

starkers...just go back to a decent ver of Winamp...aka 2.9x ....not 3...not 5....or any other deadbeat ver.

It was Winamp classic - you know, before the new interface and other added crap - but like I said, it was bundled with other crap and wasn't accessible until the bundle was opened via exe.  Trouble was, accessing Winamp unleashed the crapware.

I don't use Winamp anymore anyhow... Avermedia Centre is what I use for music and video if it's not WMP or WMC.

I use iTunes for my music. VLC for video.
