okay,

ive seen this for months now, and im sick of sitting back and saying nothing.

Who gets 9000 downloads a day on a windowblind skin? Thats insanity, right?  

-Apparently Not if you choose to believe the current downloadcount.

 

 Unfortunatley I get those downloads, and its just so wrong its not funny.

The first day I uploaded Euphoria I saw true downloads.  The first day only. Ever since then they have been psycho. (phycho meaning

sometimes over 10 thousand a day... A DAY!!!)

This phenomena occurs in several other galleries as well.

Why should I bother to continue to upload when none of the downloads even seem real?

When is this problem going to be fixed?

Its no fun anymore when nothing is working.  C'mon guys, surely you can FIX this?

PS I am a skinner, I am intersted in downloads... for all sorts of reasons.

If you´re not a skinner & you just want to bitch about me & my obsession with downloads then dont bother, because I´m adressing a site issue that needs to be Fixed, nothing more.

back on track; blinds have a halflife, a blind that is three months and getting less than 50 downloads/day should not, all of sudden, jump up to over 10,000 downloads in one day. I mean seriously, doesn't this warrant a closer look?

I'm pretty sure the last time I made a comment about "ratings-complaints-threads" it was along the lines of...."next person who makes an issue of it gets booted off the site"....;p

We ONLY get these on days ending in 'y'.... and yet, no matter how many times they arise the system remains and will remain.

If you wish a site without ratings/moderators/stats/whatever you are FREE to create your own.

Nope, skins getting "high" downloads are ones that are getting lots of visits on WC so at first look they are legit.

I have asked for a deeper look though.

checked all gallerys again and all seem ok ,,but Euphoria has 7807 downloads today that is very large number when toms Woodoku only has 90 downloads and his is not as old..

Well, according to what I've gathered from reading this thread Kitty, Stardock personnel say the statistics are most likely accurate. I also noticed yesterday that some other issues in the statistics areas seemed to have been fixed, but they are back to being messed up again today. :S

If the statistics are most likely accurate, than I find it utterly amazing that I got 1603 downloads today on a wall that isn't even in the main gallery. It is personal page only. Prior to today it had 41 download.
