I didn't get any coupon with my e-mail confirmation I got about 3 hours ago. Is it for something really cool? $10 off next purchase maybe? I'd like to buy another Kol Battleship so I pit them against my Star Trek and Star Wars "collectibles" when I think no one else is looking.

Same here, no coupon.  Except for the battles that happens when no-one is looking.  Since I live alone, that shouldn't be much of a problem ...

I did not get any coupon either, and I received both the request to confirm AND the email stating that the purchase went through.

That sucks, I didn't get the request e-mail cause I went directly to the page from Yarlen's post up top when he posted it.

Someone was really asleep at the helm here.

This package should have been available at Rebellion launch...with included pass key to download from Steam.

None of these issues, such as paying twice( in some minds) would be here. The game had a two year development, someone at the top should have said "let's do this in time for release".

Btw since I'm only ordering the Kol......(Gilda) never mind......

I don't think they intended to make a Collectors edition at first, its just some people asked them to do so in the beta.

I clicked on the link in the OP, confirmed, and then later that day I found in my inbox the request e-mail which had the coupon code.

I think that since this is an 'physical DLC' pack for Rebellion, people complaining about not receiving another game key are kind of silly. The DVD is there to aid in installing the game in the future. This is a boon as I have very slow internet. It took over 8 hours to download Rebellion the first time I got it! In my mind anyways I would never go and purchase dlc if I didn't already own the game. This is the same deal in my mind with this physical DLC that stardock is offering.

After they have gone through all of this trouble to supply us with really cool swag at cost with no profit to them, with an 8" Kol of all things, I can only say 'THANK YOU!!!' as this is the sort of thing I have wanted for a long time. It's going to be awesome.

There are only so many ways that someone can explain this to you before it becomes redundant. ... . Oops, too late. One more time though. You buy the game through Steam. Think of the DVD-Rom that is included with the collector's edition as a prop. You keep saying that you are paying for 2 copies of the game wen in fact you are only buying 1 and getting the DVD as an extra with the box set. But if it bothers you that much, just remember, they did remove the game DVD from 2 of the 4 new collector's editions. Just buy one of those instead. Then you can quit harping about it.

I would also like to add that I consider myself an avid collector (having purchased quite a few box sets in just the last few years) and I am happy with this set. The price point is reasonable and the swag is cool.To all the people complaining about the lack of a box, get over it. There are only 2 reasons that a collector cares about a box and I will cover them both now.

Reason 1: Personal preference. If this is your reasoning behind wanting a box, then Red Dwarf covered your solution. Either convince the company to release official artwork, or try to get someone to do it for you and then use that to wrap your own custom box.

Reason 2: Collectible / Resale Value. If your concern has to do with resale or collectible value, then, as any collector can tell you, you have nothing to worry about. Collectible value is determined by demand. The greater the demand for an item, the higher the collectible value. Demand combined with condition determine resale value. So if the demand is high and you have done a good job of preserving the set, the resale value is higher.

Some people argue that you must have a box to be able to get top resale value for an item, but this is only true if the item originally came with a box. In this case, having a box could very well detract from the resale value down the line as the set did not originally come with one.

Finally the struggle has ended. The Kols are let loose upon the earth, and I may rest peacefully knowing my original purpose for joining these forums is fulfilled.

Guess now I can argue about balance or find something else to do with my life.

How can you expect anyone to concentrate on that Kol picture, if you put it right next to that avatar picture

Damnit someone from Stardock canceled my order without permission and in half a week has yet to confirm weather its been fixed. Has mine been sent?

All - As an FYI, the front beam cannons on the Kol are inserts which may have come out during shipping. You should be able to place them back into the small slots in the front of the model.
