Something happened between the v1.02 and v1.03 rollback snafu.  Agreed, MD frequencies seem to have increased.

Yeah, had one last night.

Just before I was about to get a thruster pack.

In my time in the entity files in 1.03 I haven't seen anything that would lead me to suspect the cause of an MD, but then again, I haven't actively hunted, so..

well, Stardock has the source code, not us, so we let them pour through the minidump reports.  We just mod this ****.

Useless on a weekend. Try bumping this when the devs might actually be at work.

This is however "crap" when i do absolutely nothing and get the minidump or maybe i get lucky and get through a game.

This being said, we have had a ton of time throughout beta for these guys to figure this out before it is a live game and here we are, with this problem, still occuring. This would be different if this game was built from the ground up but this IS an expansion on an existing platform. To really get the ball rolling, some of the faults and glitches we saw in the beginning were some that they have had to fix with diplomacy and other versions. i.e. the ships ending up 4 million miles above a planet, never to return happened i believe in diplomacy.

One issue is that someone let that slip in, again.

All the ranting aside, i appreciate the effort to give us a kewl game to a series i personally love. But i paid for a game and i would prefer not to sink 4 hours in before it takes a total crap. Time; I do not have all day to reset and hope for the best again.

Release and patch...was a dirty word before the internet allowed companies to do just that.

If you figure out what is causing MD (eg It is happening always when you do same thing) don't be afraid to send them email with description of MD and create a thread about it. Some people will recognize it and confirm it or just discus and give advice how to avoid it in the future.

I did this on 2 occasions and 1 was fixed 2nd one is being worked on.....

Every minidump on Steam goes straight to the devs as well as the tester's dumps with documentation.

I am thinking it's something with the Vasari and TEC factions primarily myself.

Does that include modded minidumps?  Oh dear...I may easily have a hundred of those when I was trying to deal with that damn Space Ponies bug...

I know it goes automatically to them thing is MD without explanation what is going on in game is as far as i get it much harder to root out than MD when you know exactly what to look for.

In addition to that there is quite a lot of MD from mods who murky the water and make searching even harder. 

Perhaps they could make it that as soon as you enable mod auto reporting is turned off.

Two different people have reported that they MDed right after I wailed them (I thought they just ragequit but talking to them later showed it was MDs)...there, I made my contribution to solving MDs...too bad this probably won't get read but hey I posted about it elsewhere so my conscience feels better...

I'd send in an email if I mini'd. My problem is when I'm playing a match and a player fucking mini's and now we fucking lose and I just wasted my fucking time. If you can't fix the damn mini's make it so players can rejoin the match. I think I'm going to be done with this game until this shit is fixed. I'm not going to sink hours into games any more only to have them ruined by a fucking mini.

I thought whole point of playing a game is to waste some time until there is something that you have to do in RL.

Playing a game which makes you happy is just a way to pas time in a way you are not bored during a time you want to waste...

How very pedantic, Greg. While everything you say is true, it has nothing to do with how frustrating and disappointing it is to sink hours into a good game only not have it crash out before you can see its conclusion.
