Steam just updated my Sins to 1.02.4185?

Just loaded Sins for the first time in a couple of days and instead of the 1.03 I was expecting, Sins updated to the title version, with all my setting set to default.

What gives?

Rollback?

Did someone with Steam push the wrong button again?  This is pretty unusual for an unannounced reversion.. especially just before a weekend.

I think that is the case. I do not recall any posts by the devs concerning a revert to an older version of Rebellion.

...Something tells me this was also caused an error to pop up in my game and closed it out... :/

is there a way to make to return to 1.03 ourselves? I should have turned the auto update off! Just start to build up some trust with steam and this happens....

I was going to spend a sober night in the house with SINS but now it looks like beer and bars.

I thought 1.02 was the most stable version out there... so if people are having minidumps which was said by the devs they could not fix in a short order then it makes sense to roll back to the most stable version?

I've fucking had it.  Unannouced rollbacks out of nowhere?  Stardock, I'll be back in a month and see if you have your shit together.  Tell steam to sort their shit out before it kills the game.

This is really annoying, I understand when it happened in the Beta of Rebellion, but if there are going to be updates that break the games you have in progress with no warning that that really destroys the desire to play game, and a lot of people dont finish a game in one sitting.

Come to think of it it would be nice to be able to run versions different to the latest one to keep compatibility with mods, maps and games in progress.

I don't believe it could be an intentional rollback with no announcement. Someone at steam probably hosed up again similar to what happened early on in the beta.

Just one more reason to dislike steam.  And since it was a holiday week I doubt anyone with Stardock has even noticed yet.

I'm willing to give Stardock the benefit of the doubt, but this is really annoying and doubly frustrating that there isn't anyone to contact directly about it.

Considering that the office has been closed since Wednesday and won't reopen until Monday. We're looking into it.

Update: It wasn't us. We've contacted Steam about the issue.

Thanks Kryo.. it is kind of strange this would happen on a competitor using the same delivery system's opening weekend.
