problems with multiplayer save games

Me and my friend played a multiplayer game yesterday, which we tried to resume today. I have autosave files and we both saved the game before quitting (cloud save).

When we try to host the game from the save, we get the error: "You don't have the files needed for this game."

When I host my last autosave (autosave 8), I can host, but when my friend tries to join, he gets an error: "autosave 8 not found".

What is up with this, and how can we solve this problem?

 

EDIT: I just played another multiplayer game and didn't save it to cloud. That save works when I try to setup the game again. But why does the cloud saving give me that error?

I haven't used Cloud save yet, but simplest workaround for your problem will be sending missing savegame by host to all joining players. Normal save triggers saving for all players. Maybe Cloud save is doing that only for person, who is saving. To load game all players must have same save on their PC, so this is probably root cause.

Same exact problem here. Tried several times with a friend and with each trying to host. We both had the save game files but it wouldn't let each other join the game because the save file wasn't found.

Any suggestions?

Same problem here.  Cloud save does not work.

 

If my friend was the one who did the original cloud save, then he can host it, but I cannot join his game.  It says "Saved game is not found: <gamename>"  Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/K6cQQ.png

 

On the other hand, if I try to host the game, I can see the cloud save in my listing, but I cannot host it because it says "You don't have the files needed for this game".

bump... cloud save still broken. havent tried normal save yet, and regrettably wont be able to. the only person i know that owns sins lives 5 hours from my home, which i will be returning to tomorrow evening

Neither cloud saves, nor auto-save or regular saves work fur us.

Could someone please help us out?

Do you get any kind of error message? What exactly happens when you try to do a regular or autosave? Is this multiplayer or single player?

So was this issue ever resolved or a fix found? Because I am experiencing this issue today. It's only the second time I've ever tried hosting a saved game with a friend after I found out how notoriously fail the "host save game" system was the first time I had the problem and simply gave up.
