Disconnected from Ironclad Online. (SINS REBELLION)

hi. i bought sins rebellion in steam and in single player games it works just fine, but every time i try to launch a multiplayer game with ironclad online nothing happens and after a few seconds i get the message: "Disconnected from Ironclad Online." a friend bought the game too and when he hits the ico multiplayer button he ends up in the lobby, waiting for me. i can't even reach the lobby or create an ironclad online account. please help.

Are you on a university network or otherwise using a restricted connection?

no university network. i am online through a cable modem. i don't know if my provider restricts some things. a few weeks ago everything worked just fine with trinity and ico.

i tried to turn off my firewall and my antivirus. didn't help. (some guys in similar forum posts suggested this)

if this is a provider-related problem, what should i ask them to change so that the connection to ico is possible?

check the port in the user.settings text file. it should be 8000.

Let's try something and see if you can even get to the server.

start / run / cmd.exe

Type

Code: html
  1. ping ico2.stardock.com
  2. [Enter]

What are the results? [You can copy them from the cmd window by right-clicking, selecting Mark, dragging the mouse over the text, hitting the enter key, then pasting here]

Also, check your firewall rules to make sure the sines exe has access out of your system.

I have the same problem, it was even working earlier today then it updated and I can no longer get online.  I did the same thing MrMit did and got the same results.

Its not your firewall, steam rolled back the patch from 1.03 to 1.02.418x...shortly this forum will be flooded with angry pitchforks...

Most support desks operate under the premise, if you don't acknowledge it, it didn't happen, so my guess is given the uproar they will quietly fix this and then all the angry people will eventually go back to playing the game.

I'm having the exact same issue with this right now...none of my friends that I usually play with or myself can connect to ICO.  Bought the game via Steam fairly recently and has worked fine up until today.  Please advise!

Nevermind I fixed my issue - it seems that my game on Steam wasn't updating to the latest version for whatever reason -  when I right clicked on the game in Steam and selected "Verify Integrity of Local Game Cache" it popped up some message about reacquiring stuff and when I started up the game again I noticed the game version had changed and everything was working again.

Shoot a mail to [email protected], they should be able to help diagnose the problem.

Serber still ded.

It will probably be until the devs will wake up from the drunken stupor after they were boozing with the monnies they got from steam sales.
