[Bug] Achievement flawed

from Sins Forums

Found this to be very annoying.

Just did a battle against a bot without anything that wasnt a capital ship or a titan.

I won. and did not get the achievement. (Go big or go home)

ive uploaded the save game file- i lost no capital ships in the battle, as the postgame will prove, and i made no frigates or cruisers.

Heck, i even scuttled my frigate factory as the game started.

This may have something to do with the fact that i was using the new Vasari Capital ship, which spawns those nanites.

Or the acheivement may consider using a Titan to breach the requirements.

No idea, but i feel ripped.

Did you do quick start? I hear that the two free scout ships will count against you.

Nope. No quick start- i deliberately set that off. Nothing came out of my frigate factory, i had to go scouting with my flagship.

(yes i had flagship victory on..)

Going on what Goa said, I think that the flagship is counted as a frigate in the game.

List of Achievements that I am hating:

Advent Harmony Researcher - did the bloody thing twice to no avail D:

_____ Lender - I'm pretty sure it really does mean 'player', not computers.*

Pirate Exterminator - I killed at least 5000 pirate ships last night. I hate you all.

Space Ponies - because Space Ponies.

 

I thought I had problems with Go Big or Go Home as well, but supposedly I got it at some point.

 

In other words, I am sorry.

 

*GoaFan77 achieved the Lender achievements loaning to AIs in single player mode. I confirmed during Beta 3 that these DO work with AIs.

I did them all to AI. Well maybe not crystal yet, need to get a game where I get a lot of ice planets. :S

Goafan77, was that also a single player game? Because if it was, uisyfhshvlkhrbkerirn.

The game could just hate me every so often, but I did make sure I had well past the right amounts when I attempted all their executions. Could also be that they are locked to only multiplayer, but many others were not, so it's a weak point. It may also even depend on At what point in Beta you did it, in case they made unregistered coding fixes to them. Either way, I don't care as long as someone HAS achieved it.

And its considered a frigate. Anything that can phase jump, doesn't level up and isn't a Vasari Rebel starbase is a frigate. ;)

Single. If you really want to get the achievements is pretty easy to make custom maps with galaxy forge with all the resources you need to get them, though thats cheating if you didn't even try to get them the normal way. ;P

Really? Lenders only work on "players"? F... So that's why I failed a second time?

Thats funny I have always wondered about that achievement, well I guess the devs will be on the right path when they turn this game into a f2p mmo.... :rolleyes:
