I've got a problem trying to build the TEC Rebel titan since the last update.
When I try to build it it gets to 75/80% complete and then freezes. I've tried cancelling the build and restarting it and even building a new foundry in a different system and building again but no joy.
That definitely sounds like you haven't researched all four levels of the Titan under the Military tree. Each level of Titan research only unlocks 25% of the Titan for construction.
If you HAVE researched it, check you haven't lost any labs, technology you've researched becomes unusable once the number of labs you have falls below its minimum requirement.
Yes if u have research done make sure you have 4 mil labs up and running.
No - all 4 labs required for the research are up and running. In fact I'm researching the Novalith as we speak and my Titan is still stuck at 75% complete in the foundry.
EDIT - by that I mean that I've researched all 4 levels and I've still got all the required research stations
Interesting. Did you temporarly lose some of the labs while researching/building the Titan? Or scuttle one of them to build it on another planet? Maybe the bug is related to that.
Hmm. So I restarted the game and used an autosave - lo and behold the Titan finished building. Strange
I have noticed at least in one patch back this may have been fixed that there seems to be an updating issue in the games database. I had lost a major planet which was supplying a large amount of culture and so the enemy culture was really hurting me, well I remidied the situation however it did not correct itself, I was still losing allegance on most of my planets. I fixed it by moveing my capital; this may be related to your issue.
I wonder if a similar mechanism of 'getting stuck' is what causes the AI to sometimes not build frigates?
