Attacking/ship movement bug

Hi all, not sure if this has been mentioned, thought I would say something in case it hasn't. I have seen that quite frequently when I give my ships an attack order on a specific ship (without a prior intentional or accidental move order) they will run right up in the face of whatever they are attacking. This happens no matter what the range of the ships are (LRFs, Cruisers, Frigates, etc) and happens to ships in a fleet  and ships NOT in a fleet. I wish I had a screenshot of this, if I can find one I'll put it up. The biggest problem is that it makes it almost impossible to retreat your ships in a reasonable fashion when they are mashed in the face of a SB or Titan. Anyone else noticed this?

i haven't had this experience with most of my ships...but i have with my frigates, i just assumed that it was because of their range.  I would make sure that all of the ships settings (engagement range and ship cohesion) are set so that you can make sure that the settings are not the reason for your ships actions.

It happens randomly, ships are set to engage in the gravity well, theyre not in a fleet so it isnt a cohesion issue. Ive seen it happen with Titans, Capital ships, frigates, and cruisers. Issuing a second attack order (clicking the original target again) will sometimes make them stop and fire as normal. This leads me to believe there's some sort of crossover between the attack order and move order commands. Heavy cruisers get close to attack, yes, but not almost touching their target. It's a little more than just a weapon range thing.

Yes, I can confirm that problem. In the game yesterday my starfish just rushed to the face of the starbase to suicide themselves.

Normally I will make them move to the fringe just outside the attack range of a SB and then a second order as attacking the SB. But at that game, when I was busy trying to rescue a ruthless Progenitor who also hurried to die, I just found surprisingly that all my starfish did the same thing.

Yea it seems to happen to a lot of ships, no matter what ship class.
