[Bug] Truce Among Rogues

I researched the ability, all went smoothly for awhile, but I arrived at a planet and the neutrals attacked me. Could not tell you why they did, but I was 7 planets away from my home world if that has something to do with it. I do not know if the name of them have to do anything with it but i'll provide it, Eta Sector Remnants.

Wasn't the artifact world, was it?

No it wasnt. I just ran into it again and the same neutral name was Eta Sector Remnants. Seems to be a neutral faction problem.

Same issue here... hell, even the same faction!!! Eta Sector Remnants seem to not agree to the truce... *conspiracy face*

Maybe they don't agree to the terms of the truce.

Well Eta Sector Remnants is the name of the Vasari faction during the occupation victory. But this was not during that so...

Perhaps a glitch in attempting to make occupation compatible with TAR...

No these were militia troops. Under neutral planets. After I researched TAC they still attacked me. Both times they were under the title of Eta Sector Remnants. Its more than likely a bug with TAC and a faction

CONFIRMED: Eta Sector Remnants are not affected by TAR, regardless of map or gametype!

Do you know whynot? And will that be fixed?

That the Eta Sector Remnants aren't affected by TAR is due to the fact that they are (or were) the ones used to protect the Artifact planet that appeared when the Occupation Victory condition was enabled. Because the Artifact planets' defenders are now assaultable by the Rebels too (as they are now a new type of faction like the dev's stated), the Eta Sector Remnants that appear on random colonies will also attack the TEC Rebels, even when TAR is researched. The solution is to prevent that faction to be able to spawn on neutral planets.

Isn't it a good idea to keep some independence ingame?

No. Its not. The ability should do what it is meant to do.

Pretty much my exact thoughts as well.

I don't think this is bug!  I think it is a subtle nerf of TAR.  And a clever one at that!  I personally don't think it should be fixed, and congratulate the Devs for coming up with this solution for the Occupation victory planet bug.

Eta Sector Remants are the faction guarding the Occupation victory planet.  They also show up randomly among neutral militia, and are in fact immune to TAR, effectively slowing down TAR planet grabs a little.

If it's to stay like that, it would make more sense if Eta Sector Remnants were Vasari across the board.

I think having different neutral races would be really cool. Make the neutrals Vasari to show that TAR didnt work against them, but maybe this should only occur over volcanic planets to make it more consistent. I personally wish that Advent would occupy Desert worlds as well :c

Same happens to me. I've seen it in two separate games. It's always the Eta Sector Remnants, a random neutral group

Edit: It's never on an occupy victory planet, it's always random planets.
