FE BETA 3: April 12

FE BETA 3: April 12

Just a head's up, Beta 3 is scheduled for April 12th.

The Beta 3 series of Fallen Enchantress will be revolving around faction differentiation. It also contains a lot of tweaks and balance based on player feedback.

Grimrock is just what you expect if you played Dungeon master and liked it.

It's a 2012 dungeon master. New ideas new Graphic and same coolness.

PLayed it in the dark with my surrond 5 speaker system and I scared my 11 year old son with a skelly attack from behind. hehehe

Stardock can take it,s time with the Beta I'll be off for a few more days playing Grimrock...

Can we get a list of changes? Not necessarily a change log, but a general list of that which is new.

I respect that good work takes time. But I am still bummed out by this major bummer.

Legend of Grimrock was patterned on Eye of the Beholder, which is available on some abandonware sites.  The biggest change (other than the fantastic graphics) is that all the AD&D baggage was thrown out, perhaps because of licensing costs.  So no alignments, no sleeping to learn spells, no elves, dwarves, etc.  Works for me.

On the next beta...?  Sensible not to rush it.  The point isn't to produce something quickly that's buggy, but to produce something that's rebalanced with more features.  The bugs will appear anyway.  No reason to increase them dramatically.
