A few sugg please

I would like to change the look of my desktop. I have the standard windows 7 desktop. I would love something that I can use, place my programs or icons like (internet explorer) (Google Chrome) and 20-30-40 others depending on how many the desktop program has. Presently, if there is/are a few that are free to try, as I just joined and have no clue as to what I am doing and doing what to apply something if I don't like it after I paid for it.

If someone has a few suggestions, a few desktops to start with and what to start with I would appreciate all the help I can get.

You'll have to uninstall the trial copies if you decide to purchase a subscription and install non tialware, carmanhere.

There is a set of programs called Object Desktop, A collection of applications that you can use to dress up your desktop like nothing else. There are public versions, the free ones and the are some trial versions. I recommend you try Windowblinds. This program can change the look of the windows, taskbar and start menu. There are literally hundreds of different styles to choose from. The link above will take you to a galley list where you'll find everything you need.  Good luck and have fun.

Sounds like you might be interested in ObjectDock+ or Fences.
