Kol Flipped?

Kol Flipped?

I have noticed that all over the place the Kol is being shown with an armored right side, instead of hangers. Does this herald changes to the Kol, or is it merely an older picture flipped on accident?

The Shivans wouldn't have left any of the Vasari fleet alive to flee.

Just got through looking up Shivans, nasty piece of work from Freespace. Saw the intro over on youtube, man I'm behind on space based RTS...Freespace 2 came out in '99. Should be able to play it on my netbook, if I had the time..

Its not an RTS. Its a fighter FPS style. Think Wing Commander and bring a joystick.

Shivans

I blew up their massive "battleship" in a little snub fighter by targeting their one weak point.

Like Begger's Canyon back home. :P

First, it had 5 weak points.

Second, the Shivans managed to fail at killing all the Vesudans.

Third, it would be a massive success over not having any answer to the question of what the hell we're doing here.

Personally, I keep hearing people go the nanite route with who they think is chasing the Vasari. Since the first scene we see is the Vasari unlocking phase space and they have such advances on said tech, I would think that they maybe pissed off somebody with their phase manipulation. And I'm not talking that inter-dimension, stolen from Start Trek: Voyager crap. I'm talking someone who was badass in their own right and then got screwed into phased obscurity via this technological breakthrough. Someone who not only learned to break the bonds of phase space in order to return, but even learned to use it as a weapon so that they could apply tactics that would indeed drive their opponents insane. I already have an en media res scene in my head that would serve as something of a treatment, but I've found it thus far pointless to write.

I always wondered why they didn't use full turreting weapons like from Homeworld or any real navy. Apparently we experienced a couple thousand years of space travel but still use bullets, lost turreting tech

You right, I was looking at some Homeworld 2 vids and I was impressed with what they had then, the only thing that comes close that I've seen is SOTS and X3....

Edit: Replaced the vid with this one....

Its because the game engine can't handle it.

Just like color wasn't invented until color photography.

Now this is how you name your ships, I may have to make some time for this....

Imagine ships that say, "Abandon All Hope." Now that is epic...

? Homeworld came first. Even the first had turreting weapons. Of course, when I think about your sentence, I can't help but think that everything was in sepia during WWII.

I use to redo my fleets in HW2 so that they were David's Lions themed. Used the Complex mod instead, which is beyond amazing imo.

Bill: What the hell just happened?

Tim: What do you mean?

Bill: Everything looks weird. It's not brownish anymore.

Tim: Oh, that's just color. Someone recently invented it.

Bill: Oh... so why are you still black?

Tim: I said they invented color... why are you still white?
