Hey guys since im very confused and dont know where to set this up( started with screenshot category ) but didnt know its only for for desktop shots therefore i hope i can leave this in here and show some progress and gather some more feedback and tipps what i could change besides lowering the brightness or color.
I started out looking for some nice tutorials for Text ice effect but i was satisfied with what i found since i was looking for clear ice.
I already done abduzeedo Hellfire tutorial and was amazed by the outcome its was easy and very realistic looking in the end.
The only thing is i didnt wanted to use stock photos to do this one.
I already postet a shot of my early progress before and added some more cracks and was slighty able to remain that clear block ice look.
Now iam bit out of ideas  so im asking you " what do you guys think, what should i add "

Maybe a lot less blue.... and the blue a lighter shade... coming from deeper in the ice? Up to you...

i want to lower the cracks visability in the background and maybee blur the area a little and maybee add some more white contrast to the ice area.
My wife just said i should add some wind effects to add more life to it.. so a will work a little more on it... and post the results :

i played a little was looking for some nice objects i could insert that could fit the scene and i found 2 nice posed charcaters repainted everything and made some mayor changes and deleted the orginal when i was done... currently making a 3d model for each in ZBrush.
The problem is that i really suck at making wallpapers and i finally realize why so much ended up on my personal page.
There are so many things that have to look good together in this case the crack styles for the background don´t actually fit the font.
But since i make this for the fun of it and of course to get better i will try a couple of more things and maybee kill the whole background and start over.
This is what i kinda liked

Have you considered doing this without the word in it? IMO that is distracting and takes away from the artistic content of it.

That center area would be a nice placeholder for icons etc.

@ Phoon i have but this whole thing was based on the text i also keep in mind that this will probably end up on my PP again but i had fun making it.
i know iam not good in making wallpapers and i mostly overfill them... its hard for me to get a nice how do you say... complementing look to it.
I will wait what the upload says and will try a clean wall then without the text.
Anyway thanks for the tip always appreciate it :thumbsup:

JA nicht schlimm es ist wochenende und ich kann drüber lachen...
:hrmph: Hab schon das nächste packet zusammen geschnürt und werde es gleich uppen mit ganz vielen verschiedenen sorten mit schrift ohne schrift mit boarder und ohne usw. XD  
Wenn das nicht einschlägt und als gut genug bewertet wird bin ich halt einfach zu schlecht im ganzen und lass die finger davon.
Aber chaos and order war auch ein reinfall...naja man steckt da eben nicht drinne bzw will man auch gar nicht :D
