Two Questions Regard Purchases

First off I want to change my firewall software since it seem to be unresponsive most of the time and even sometime prone to epic fails. The old one is MCAfee that I had as a part of bundle from a long time ago. I like to play computer games a lot so resource hogging is not a good thing.

 

Second Question, I am planning to upgrade my motherboard this summer to a Window 7 ready cpu/graph card. I already have a directx 11 video card on hand. So PCI-E 16x is a must since it is Radeon HD 5770 PCI-E. I would like to upgrade my cpu which is currently kind of showing it's age. The cpu I have now is an AMD 5200+ 64 X2 dual cpu. What kind of cpu will go well with the motherboard you suggested?

I did bit of research on my own and using one of the guide posted. For those who missed that guide link.

I like those two Asus phenom II x4 965 black edition + Asus m4A89GTD pro. Will this setup tide me through directx 11 era pretty well? My old computer hard drive will be salvaged to work with this setup. Should I use a brand blank new hard drive to start Window 7 or upgrade on my old hard drive from Window XP SP 3?
