Compact Version of Skins

Hmmm, I seem to have a slow learning curve. More like flat line! I have two questions:
1) how do I know what version of Windowblinds I have? There is no "program" per se ie there is the desktop properties route to use a skin adn the advanced configuration route but neither tells me my version.
2) I can't seem to get any compact versions of skins to work. I still get a full menu. Obviously, I am thinking that that might have something to do with my version of windowblinds.
Can anyone help me?

Figured out question #1--I read the read me file. Now wasn't that intelligent? Will work somemore on #2!

If you mean the compact Start menu...I'm pretty sure you'll need WB version 4 to use that feature...and it would only be available on skins that offer the compact menu.

As for how to enable it...uhm, I haven't tried that myself.

Thanks, I am using WB 4 and I was trying to use a skin that did come with compact. Didn't work but it did finally work on another one. So, will go back and try them all again!
