Newby questions--plz help

ok, first off a hello to everyone.

I have just recently (past 2 days) discovered this site and the wonderful items it contains.
Now I a m just trying to get it all to work together and am having some difficulty.

Q1: How do I save a bunch of choices together so that it automatically starts up when my computer restarts.

Problem Details: I have chosen the full colony theme with minor changes(icons, logon logo and wallpaper modified from fifferent schemes). I am trying to get all the windows, ezpop, winamp, webskin and all to autoload when my computer restarts, but cant figure out how to save it all once I get it together, or how to get it all to open.

Q2: When attempting to install new icons, I get the message:
"The icons for the WindowsXP Classic Start Menu cannot be changed. This is currently a limitation within the operating system, and not a problem with the IconPackager application." I am administrator on my account and do not know why this wont let me change it, any ideas, or any setting changes I missed?

OK, and finally for a friend:
Q3: Coworker is using XP professional and is attempting to change his logon page, but when he reboots it never actually changes. On mine it jumps to it as soon as i hit the save and apply setting, on his he gets no response, iny ideas?

Please reply if you can help with any of these questions. Any help would be much appreciated.

you'll have to provide more info as to what programs you are using. A good place to find out about the individual programs is here https://www.wincustomize.com/resources.asp?cmd=1. If you and your friend are trying to change the log-on screen , I m assuming you downloaded and installed logon studio. To change icons, you'll need icon packager. To AS for you programs to start when windows starts (ezpop, winamp etc) those individual programs will have to be configued to start when windows is loaded. Please do check out the above link as it may give you more info than I just did.

Many of the listed programs should have a start when window starts option, but if not, simply putting them in your startup folder should work. The programs will retain the last skin they were using. There is a Stardock program called Winstyles that could help you, but it doesn't support all the programs you mentioned, nor will it ever support ALL programs.
I forget what the message means about the Classic menu, unless you are using that option in XP, then it means you need to use the XP start menu I think for it to work. IP works fine here using regular two-pane XP start panel.
Not sure why LogonStudio isn't working for your co-worker. Perhaps uninstalling it and reinstalling it will help. Reboot after each step and see if that works.
