Congrats icecrown - you've accomplished in 5 days what an entire art department couldn't in 2 years.

PS: I love the fireball now :D

Holy cow. Wow.

Uhm...

Do you mind redoing Hurl Boulder (or whatever the name is) as well? It would be very, very nice, cause it's the ugliest spell of the lot as it is :p.

Very cool, I'm impressed.  I haven't had much luck with the Effects Workshop.

I LOVE the infernal, a real firestorm!

so can we actually use custom sprites? I checked out the particle editor very quickly - all I saw were tabs upon tabs upon buttons upon tabs. Didn't have the time to explore.

It's too bad we can't get persistent terrain scarring. Is there anyway to have the fireshield effect remain active once cast?

Good job, ive been trying to mess around with particle editor, but no matter what i touch, effect screen stays empty =/

Great Job.   I'm going to download right away.   Thanks for sharing this.

hmm,

looks nice, however, I thought all mods are suppose to go in the documents/my games/elemental folder, not the elemental main folder in your C Drive? Although I do see a Elemental/Mods folder where I have Elemental installed, so if it does go there, then so be it, but wanna make sure that's the case.

no, you should put them in the main folder usually : "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Elemental\Mods" :P

Ok thanks, that's what i did, a shame it doesn't work on saved games, as i still see the old effects, luckily though it's time for me to start a new game on my main computer, instead of laptop, so I'll be able to take advantage of this mod. :)

Phenomenal work!  I am really looking forward to more of your mods!

Your work inspired me to redo all the air spell effects :D.

I might actually change the spells themselves, to make them a bit different.

You inspired me to create my own spells:

Great work already,

I noticed a lava crater in the decals in the tile editor... any way of hooking it up to a fireball? so you create on target/change tile under target to lava crater? Or add a "blasted" effect for a few turns to target and make that a seperate spell that changes the terrain under target or has a persistant particle effect (like smoke?)

Atm though I have low framerates in tactical battles and it prevents any actions until the entire animation is complete... so death animations are agonisingly slow with no indication of when they're deemed 'definately dead'

im actually trying to modify the tile in tactical battle, but no luck so far, they seem to only work in the strategic map, i will look into it some more X|

and ye it is a problem to have long particle effect if you have low framerate, maybe you should stick with the original effect since they are much faster and not so heavy

Have you tried to check the "emitter is indefinite" in the colors panel of the emitter ? It seems to create a loop of the emitter, but I'm not sure that it will remain forever after the spell has been cast.

Fantastic job Icecrown. Would you consider putting up a quick tutorial video for beginners? I haven't played much with the particle editor so far and I'm still a little quizzical to say the least.

Whats the difference between putting it in the elemental/mods folder as opposed to the mydocuments/mygames/elemental/effects folder?
Seems to work for me, but i'd like to know the difference.
