Im moving to Germany from the US, so now I'm wondering if I will still be able to download Region specific games that I already bought.
E.g. Sim City 4 is region specific to North America. Can I download that in Germany, since I already bought it?
What about buying new games? Can I buy North American games with my U.S. credit card while in Germany?
I believe the region check is only done in the store. Once you buy something you can download it from anywhere.
That said, I do believe that once you move, you won't be able to buy NA-only games.
you can try to use the tor network for that. it masks where you really come from and you can chose an american proxy.
Unless the store just filters for billing address, which will be in Germany.
Nah, billing address is still the U.S - so thx, I'll check out the Tor thing with some cheap game once I'm there.
What is the Tor thing, if you please? I live in Germany and am continually bugged that I cannot purchase games via impulse et al. that are, for often idiotic reasons, not available to me in English (in other words: I MUST purchase a German localization). THank you

It's an anonymizer - not sure if that works for us, but worth a try I think.
