Almost always I marry the most different looking mate to my sovereign i can find. Just to see what the kids will look like.
I also love the fact you can offer gay marriage. (i hope there is a away to actually do this as well not just useless diplomatic offer)
I have never been able to figure out if you can remarry after your wife dies or gets killed as well.

How far along with the new spell UI are you Brad, seeing all those pretty new Icons in that bland ole book makes me sad.
P.S. you may also wanna tailor each 'book' a bit per side. Something nice and ornate and parchmenty for Kingdoms, and something more worn and bloodstained and skiny for Empire
P.S.S. and by 'skiny' I mean bound in the skin of my enemies.
How the spell book is not broken down by magic types?
Book of Earth Magic
- Spell 1
- Spell 2
etc.
Book of Water Macic
- Spell 1
- Spell 2
etc.
This is what I don't understand. Alternatively, if i decide to turn a Champion or child into a spell caster, why cant I equip them with a custom book? if that book is lost in battle there would be a chance the enemy could retrieve it and get a bonus to research the spells inside of it.
Breaking / organizing spells into spell books would make a lot of sense. It would also let the player see what spell books they have rather than the current system where I have no idea what spell books I have due to research.
well, yes, if she leaves you. then she becomes an enemy faction that demands alimony (she wants diplomatic capital out the wazoo, let me tell ya) and custody of the kids. actually i meant to get back to them on removing that, because at that point it's no fun and simply a game you cannot win.

With the two gentlemen marrying each other I vote no. If someone wants to make a mod then let them, but please don't push that on everyone else. I could make a lot of explanations as to why I don't want to see this but I think I will keep it simple and just ask politely that you don't include that in the game.
Besides that issue, I am loving the naming of the units. I would love to play multi-player and kill someone with an army of buttons. 
If you look closely at the picture you will notice that you can't actually marry them. You can just put up the proposal, but the AI says "no" and you can't actually accept.
yes dont push the choice on people, people hate options! especially options that can be easily avoided/ignored.. not that i ever though frog boy was serious about the gay marriage thing.
