Getting AI to capture flags better?

Frustrated at AI's ignoring Flags

I'm trying to get the AI to not bypass flags in order to go kill a grunt or chase a hero.


I've seen an AI player just stand and ignore a flag right in front of him, an AI the stops capturing and instead goes to attack, or the AI will just walk past a free-to-capture (no threat around) flag to go hit a tower.

 

I've tried jacking up the values of the flags in flagasset.lua, tried increasing any Capture goal priorities. Add in "CaptureFlag = X" inside squad.lua and the files inside the AI/Squads directory (like PushLane.lua)

 

Can't see any consistent benefit. Sometimes it looks like it works, then next game the same crap starts.

 

Any help?

Take a look at the skirmish AI mod peppe created.  He may have already solved this.

Just give playing real people a try, that's pretty fun too.  You guys are a clan that only play AI?  The frustration you are having means it's time to move up, I know it may be hard to find games with people whining about you playing with your friends, but join the lagwars vent channel, here's the info:  Lagwar's Ventrilo Server

Anyone who's ever in The Gentleman rooms will be happy to play you, sends private messages through there to anyone who is not in the AFK section.  Don't expect that the people there will just beat up on you and your friends either, we'll mix up teams no problem as long as you guys want to, until you learn how real people play.  It would be great to have another active clan.
