I downloaded a bunch of trails and the directions say to put them in the trails folder.
I have the paid version but when I look in the program folder there is no trails folder.
Can anyone help me please?
The trails and effects files can be found in the Themes folder in Public Documents/Stardock/CursorFX. They appear as the effects name and an icon.
Thank you for your reply. I went to the themes folder and found the trails.
However, all the trails I downloaded are PNG files.
And some downloads have quite a number of them. Do I put them all in the themes folder even though they are not icons but just files?
I think you would have to use the CFX Theme Editor to import the graphics and create a trail "package" then install that into Themes.
Hopefully a cursor creator will step in here and help out, I'm at the limit of my knowledge here. Good Luck.
It would be nice to add some new effects and trails to the ones provided with CFX. I hope you share your creations with the community.
Thank you for your helpful advice. I was able to make some cool trails.
The only thing is now I have to figure out how to make them trail behind the cursor instead of at the tip in front.
The next thing I would love to do is add some more effects as well.
If it's anything like CursorXP you can make the trails and just drop them in the trail folder.
