Calling all friends...

Calling all friends...

My friends list hardly shows green anymore, and that is sad.  I know most of the people on my list are still playing, but I don't see them much anymore.

One of the best parts of SINS is falling apart-the community.

I feel bad for the new players that never get a chance to see the greatness of this game, because they are either suspected as smurfs and booted, or get stacked against by smurfs and stomped.

For the sake of the real noobs everywhere, give them a chance, give them some tips, give them support. give them your main.

The community needs some unity. Otherwise, we should just play single player.

Smurf the AI, it doesn't care who you are, but I do.

Calling all friends...

I would rather play with a bunch of noobs that appreciate the game and have a good attitude than contend with quitters that put more effort into complaining than they do into conscientious behavior.

Bravo!  Nice to see sane minds.  Why linger in a game you think is dead and don't like and hang around the forums complaining about it? (all respect to the poster of the thread who is actually looking for players and not offering just another emo post).

I like the game and as my days allow join in online.  It's not a miserable experience for me--I actually enjoy it.  I think more new players will join in as time goes by.  A steady trickle is as good as a torrent.

The mass exodus of the online community is kinda sad.  Take care and good luck greg.

I suspect that many of the people who are leaving had been anticipating lower player counts for some time and had already considered what games they might move on to or return to when the time came.  So, when one or two other high-profile players finally announced that they were moving on, it acted like a catalyst.  It made it more difficult to find games and it encouraged players who had been ambivalent about Sins online for some time to throw in the towel.

If the loss of many pro players makes it easier for newer players to play online, perhaps Sins will enjoy a small comeback and perhaps those who have left will then return.

Maybe so whip but it doesn't change the multitude of problems one faces just to play online(the worst for me being smurfing).  I must admit that it has worn on me.  I still play but infrequently.  I wouldn't mind logging on, waiting for 20 minutes to get enough to play, another 20 minutes trying to get someone to cap/pick teams, and possibly dumping 1 or more people once in the game if it weren't for smurfs stacking the team one way or another and being a jackass to boot.  Add on to that the imbalances in the game switching frequently because a handful of people moan loud enough for 100.  It isn't worth the stress to me to play that often.  I have put up with it this long because of my clan and because I like the game in general.  The pros/cons of continuing to play has shifted for the worse for me.  It just becomes more trouble than its worth.

Now, I don't consider Zoom or Rat or the majority of the others as drama queens or unsavory types, but you have to consider the source when someone starts blathering about why Sins has caused them to have a hangnail, a fly in their ointment, or hair in their soup.

Don't you think people have their own mind to decide...... If u want to find the source ...... go after the smell. <X3

and you will get here

Sins ROCKS!  One of a kind, no game like it, play it forever and a day!

Couldn't agree more. k6      I still play it ..... just not over ICO anymore. There is nothing that can replace it.  Hamachi and SP are my game now and of course MODS and their communities.

-- How ya like me now"?"

I got no problems with you everybody is entitled to their own opinions. |-)

Day late and dollar short?

Oh well, at least I haven't had a minidump since the patch.  Now maybe the ranks will fill steady.

Sins works great now.

U can dry your tearz and return , cause warhammer cant match sins, it sux, its a clickfest, like starcraft and it sux.

Sins is one and only there is no alternative.

Sooner or later, u will be back

You still smurf stacking-because that's why I left. (And I see that I wasn't alone in that.)

Is that fixed?  If not, sorry. I am having fun right now in the DoW community.  You don't see a smurf stacking problem there.

Only 86 people online at DoW1 now, but 15 games to choose from. It's nice, to know who i am playing against.

Until the smurf stacking stops, I won't be back.

zoomers, i thought you were PMSing when you made this post over a month ago, and yet you continue to bitch and moan like a teenage girl.  Really, the sins community is near dead, and no one is going to beg you to come back, why would you force yourself to play this game if you clearly don't like it so much.  You're going to say you like the game, but hate the smurfs, and i'll tell you that its better then having a game that is plagued by fake noobs, then noobs with hacks like many other games out there.  there aren't many perfect games, if you want to leave, leave, just stop posting these SOB stories on forums, because its just pathetic.

Attitudes like yours is why I STOPPED PLAYING, and attitudes like yours is why others HAVE and WILL continue to leave.

As you say "the sins community is near dead", attitudes like yours killed it.

What you say and how you say it proves my point.

attitudes like mine didnt kill the sins community, minidumps and desyncs did, please, dont blame me for something out of my control

Yes u r right, sins isnt the place for u, too much pressure

and no u r wrong and Star is right. If u dont like it, dont beatch  haw bad is it. Bad for one is god for another.

For instance, DOW for me is mindless clickfest that i quit after 6 hours. same about starcraft,  it isnt out yet but i already hate it :P

Mini dumps fixed now---but the smurfing isn't---thus it dies.

You just don't want to admit that you guys, DT especially, killed it.

I agree with zoomers that smurfing is a huge problem for people that dont have alot of free time especially. Its no fun.Its no fun to be on a stacked team either. If I am in eco I never need to feed and I just play sim sin then the game is over.I would deync ot mini about 10-20% but smurfs were in 80% of the games I play.So I can live with the minis but the smurfing is a major prob.

Not all DT players are reponsbile for the community falling, some are the most respected and best players I and the community have ever player with. However some DT players are reponsible for there own actions, and these actions are idiotic behaviour, bad language and consistant trash talking, quiting games when 2 hours into the game, for no reason other that they lost there fleet, boo-who.

I beleive this problem was down to not having a dedicated leader in the clan. When Reborn was in charge, if any player broke any of the rules, such as trash talking consistanly etc, A vote was held to see if that player should remain or get kicked out of the clan....this ended up as KOK, Casuis and Ascension being kicked out of the clan. Whereas DT, they were a group of members without a leader, when I asked tyr and JJ if the clan had a leader, they both said no.

This is compared to having, 500 elected members in governemt, and no leader.  This meant that some players in the clan made the others look bad, and so causing the clan to have a bad name. Every DT player had morales and ethics they stuck by, the others did not. A leaderless group only wokrs if everone has the same idelogies and ethics, if they dont, it just dont work in anyones favour.

how are you comparing 500 elected members in government to this?

government controls the people in a country

we don't control sins, never have never tried to

this also doesnt make sense because we aren't 500 people, we're about 10, and we all stuck by each other, and unlike other clans, who recruit a ton of people and kick them out, we only recruit the good ones so we dont have to kick anyone out

BIA has not kicked anyone for lack of skill.  We have however kicked people when they behave like jackasses.  If DT did that, they would lose half their clan.  They would have to exist as a clan first though so it's beside the point.

Uh, a note on smurfing...The online community is already pretty small.  Without smurfs, it would just come down to "Which of these people I've played against a hundred times will I attempt to defeat this time."  With smurfs, you never know who you're fighting, which keeps the mysteriousness of the game intact, because you don't know their strategy.

ROFL !!!!

Yeah ...... without smurfing comunity count would drop to 20 people total.

A few days ago I watched movie called The ugly truth. You can find parallels between situations there and here.

In both there are people who see problem try to point it out and help out (if u want) and there are people that don't see or don't want to see same problem and that perhaps solution lies in them. They don't want to accept responsibility.

Now in movie main characters are simply afraid but here I think people just don't care or don't care enough.

Perhaps as in movie trough all "struggles and fear" in the end there will be a happy ending.

Until then

HAVE FUN

exactly what I was pointing out. I even beleive too that even if one of the bia members does what is unaccpetable behaviour on a consistant basis to  to other players, I beleive that Greyfox has the authority to kick them out, including me. Greyfox is the leader of BIA, and so should keep everone in check.

Starplayer what I am getting out is this, A team without a leader has no control, and becuase they have no control they think they can do whatever they want too. DT is 'the' worst clan when it comes down to trash talking, leaving games, and stacking games, I have played games with 5 DT smurfs on one team, and ill tell you one thing, I find that unfair, and what i find even more unfair is that you completelty trash talked the whole game, I bet it was probably you.

I dont mind players playing together, but when they play together, that doesnt mean trash talking the whole game. Play together = fine, smurfing and playing together = its unfair but ok, i dont mind losing, playing together and smurfing and trash talking = not fun.

thank god I no longer play this game anymore, I now know how much I hated this game online.

Totally agree. Smurfing causes other players to get frustrated and rage quit as well, makes games worse....
