RTS play balance mod for generals

So I would like to make a mod that makes the generals play more like an RTS.  These are my ideas so far..

Increase the number of minions that the generals can have across the board.

Buff Yetis and Shamblers so they don't suck.

A minion can gain XP and Gold from a creep dying if he does a significant amount of damage to that creep.  To balance this out a Generals minoin will give XP and Gold to an opposing player if that player does a significant amount of damage to the minion and it dies.

Minions will have high damage but low health.

Tower damage to a generals minoins will not give XP.

The Attaching capability of Generals will be nerfed.

A Generals summoned minators (only the Melee guys)  will be able to cap flags, but at a slower rate than a demigod.

Teleports will not regroup minoins

The way I want to balance this is so that if an assassin without any AOE goes up against a General when all if his minions are with him, the General will win.  Gathering all of the generals minions in one place will be a very risky move however because the health of the minions will be low enough to make them susceptible to AOE attacks.  If a general has all of his minions taken out with an AEO attack, then it will be almost as bad as dying from an XP/Gold point of view.

This will encourage generals to spread their minions out and control them strategically.  Generals can no longer use their minions as cannon fodder if there is a demigod around.  Generals will be able to farm multiple lanes at once and capture multiple flags at once, but will not be able to go head to head with an assasin that has AOE.

Sorry, but this is a bad idea.

Lets buff minion damage.

Lets increase the amount of minions you can have.

Lets make sure assasins always die against minions.

Lets make generals be in 45 places at once and be able to capture flags.

This varies from very bad idea to already going to happen, that being the so called shambler boost. A minions strength is determined by how effective they are when they swarm XX target, but you want to remove that effectiveness.

I think you are missing the fact that the minions health would be nerfed significantly and every assassin has some sort of AOE, so if you swarmed an assassin then you would just be giving your opponents xp.

Which leads to taking away minions greatest aspect swarming. Minions strength comes from attacking in a group, seperatelly minions are a joke so basically you are nerfing minion builds not making it more strategic.

You are correct that right now small groups minoins on thier own are a joke.  I want to buff minions so that a small group of minions can acually do something usefull.   The trick is to figure out how to do that without making swarming crazy overpowered.  I think the key to that is making them so AEO attacks can acually deal with them in an effective manner.  I do not find swarming very strategic personally.

Sadly swarming isn't strategic at all, but it's the best we can do. Only time I have seen strategy in game was when  I play against premades, so you want more minion strategy than go premade.

First off let me say that I think Demigods gameplay mechanics are great right now.  Making more game modes though is never a bad thing and I would like to expand on the RTS vs RPG game mechanic that Demigod was origonaly planned to have, but it never worked out.

I think there are 2 main reasons why in demigod it is hard to be stratigic with minions. There is no reason for minions to ever be away from your demigod other than suiciding into towers, and there is no reward for killing minoins.

I never said the game play mechanics was not great, I just said it lack strategic elements in general, not just minion wise. Alot oof things can be done to improve the strategic game play, but first all the little annoying bugs needs to be worked out the best way they can and then get to the good stuff...

Dear god if they put QoT and modding tools in my hands, a whole new level of imbalanced will be introduced into the game.
