VICTORY PROBLEM

Hello my friends,

 

In last game that I play on metaverse I set victory to military only ( uncheck research , diplomacy and others).

 

I play on suicidal, imense galaxy, 9 oponents and have nice success but then I lost via RESEARCH from computer oponent.

 

How? is this BUG? How can I fix that?

Or... I can not set only MILITARY VISTORY on metaverse.

Unchecking all victories conditions should give you military only victory conditions. I have played many MV games doing exactly that. Don't know why you had a tech victory loss, except to ask the obvious. Are you SURE you had tech victory unchecked?

I had a similar experience.

Go to an earlier save and check the victory progress screen - the one that shows the Influence %, etc.  It will say if the Research Victory is Disabled or not.  (Can you do that in a Metaverse game?)

After I lost that above-mentioned game, I always go to that screen on Turn 1, to confirm that Research Victory has in fact been disabled.  I had probably goofed and forgotten that time, but i take no chances anymore.  Too many hours about to be invested not to confirm at the start.

Can do.

Once you get burned...and we all do...you check what gotcha.  My paranoia is to reset very fast tech.
