IMO: What we get karma for says what other people see us as; too much karma for no reason says everyone likes you just because, few karma for good reason says everyone holds you in high regard, but you're not the first on the invite list to a party.

Nope. I've been known by most as Mr. Relationship. Most of my experience has been within the realm of commitment. The last chick I was committed to (as in engaged) fell out of love with me. So I'm not interested in doing that right now. My goal at this point is to do what I want without a single damned person to answer to. If I can get sex without the maintenance, rock on.

The kind of party?  Well, I can't give out my secrets, but 45k in donations throws one hell of a good New Year's Eve party if you have the right connections and know a lot of tricks of the trade.

If Karma = invites Draak, think of this.  Your little forum girlfriend would get invited to the party before you, me, tesb, and ghost4000 combined, and still have people in front of us in line to get in....  I don't know about you guys, but from someone who's used to skipping lines and going in through side entrances...  THAT is just depressing.  This leads me conclude that Karma doesn't equal shit, and those that base their popularity off of it are fools.  =D  I'll take my low Karma and not wait in line, thank you very much.

I agree with you stant, as even with the high karma count that I have, it means NOTHING, NO benefits at all, and my karma count should get me either near or at the head of any invite list, but I have YET to receive ANY invites.

I really don't care, but I did find Xer07's theory of karma to be a sad thing, in a way. As for Karma, I'm not going to say it's nonsense or not. Don't know enough about the universe to judge. And by forum girlfriend, I'm assuming you mean Teal? Hey, I've been able to get away with saying some fun things to her without getting bitched out. She could have cankles that go all the way up and I wouldn't care. It's just fun.

That's wtf I said up there... however, I did make it a point that too much karma (Like Harpo, Annatar and Ryat's, for example) is often just a result of them getting karma for posting things.  On another level, people who get karma for legit reasons often aren't Mr. Popularity, but have a higher, more decent, level of respect from others compared to ppl who get karma just to have more karma. 

A few things... first: 15+15+10=40. I have 33 karma.   And most of my karma is for simple, albeit stupid things like funny pictures of vids I post, being a fan of something other ppl are fans of, posting lude pix or vids (ppl are pervs...).  The only karma I feel like I deserve is the 7-9 karma I have for posting  a statement worth quoting, posting some odd philosophy that no-one ever thought of before, and that one I have for "A good post about the storyline".  IMO: everything else is just blah.  I don't base popularity on the forums off of karma, I base popularity off of how the person talks in respect to others, and how others talk to them. 

Another thing:  Despite my avatar, I'm not a girl.    Do I come off as femenine when I talk?

right, she has 59, and I have 15, Draak has 15, tesb has 10 and ghost has 10.  50 is less then 59 so she is in line first.  Wasn't talking about you at all Zero.  ;]  But at least the next person to comment get's the last comment on this page.
