Object Dock Folders

I am sure this has been asked before however, I cannot find the answer.

I want to clarify where to place my docks.

Zoomers    Non Tabbed folder

Trays         Would these go in the tiles folder

Tabbed      There are 2 folders named Tabbed and Tabbed only (which one)

Or do I just put all docks in the backgrounds folder.

Sorry for being such a pain.

Your docks can be place in two locations.

C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds - This is where I put my docks because I try to keep everything sorted. I keep my Zoomers and my Trays in my Non-Tabbed Folder and Tabbed docks in the Tabbed Folder and Tiles in the Tiles Folder. (honestly in dosen't matter if you keep them sorted or what folder you put them in because Object Dock will still find the skin for your dock.

C:\Users\iKashmir\Documents\Stardock\ObjectDock Library\Backgrounds - You can also put your docks at this location as well. The program will still pick up the skins and you will still be able to access them in ObjectDock. There are no folders there when you first install the program but you can create your own to keep things more organized.(Just like the folders in your program files.

No pain here, always willing to help out.

Hope this helps.

"All" your dock backgrounds...no matter what they are can go in one folder...Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds...no need to scatter them all around. And any icon/png images you want to use can simply go in the...Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock...folder in separate folders for each theme. The folders that were added to your "My Documents" folder can all be deleted.

Not sure about this if your using Vista or Windows 7 since it was Vista that decided your stuff had to be in "My Documents" for some dumb reason. I still use Xp and everything I mentioned above works perfectly.

C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds
This is the preferred location for the following reasons:

If the backgrounds have custom plus/minus images for tabbed docks, they must be placed in the program files location (not in Documents)or the images will not show. Also, running indicators must be in this location to be selectable and usable in OD config.
