Elemental Alpha: Invites going out

We’ve picked a tiny handful of the pre-order group to become alpha testers based on how many other betas they’ve participated in, forum karma, and a number of other criteria.

Those of you not in the alpha, fear not, you’re not missing very much. The beta is scheduled to come out around PAX (Penny Arcade Expo).

Be forewarned, we plan to close the beta shortly after PAX and it will remain closed for some months. Those who want to get the beta can pre-order the game.

I am leaning towards beta 1 being only cloth map in order to let beta testers have more input on the game mechanics (fewer assets to change if we accept a suggestion).

There will be an Alpha tour later this week (possibly tomorrow). Stay tuned.

I just hope that because they are starting Alpha/Beta they keep putting out tidbits!  I always hate when other games start the testing process with live testers and you can tell because suddenly the little tibdits stop!  And we starve! :drool:

 

Whoever Get's into the Alpha, Break it good!  Means a better game for when they go into Open Beta!  *whispering* They are still planing on an open Beta for people who have pre-ordered right? *crosses fingers*

It's like Schrödinger's cat. As long as I haven't yet gotten home to check my email, I'm in a state where I'm both in the alpha and not in the alpha.

Well then someone else violated the NDA:P Or they heard it would be e-mail from a Stardock employee, and I'm just babbling nonsence;P

Yep. Was mentioned in another thread as being around PAX, which is a month away...

every post i read on here sounds like disappointment covered up with a fake smile. :X It's like christmas morning, and I didn't get that one gift every kid wanted!! :'( And Hawawaa across the street is waiving it in my face... 8|  LOL wake me up when September begins... :zzz:
