To "read" the .wba and implement it, you'll need WindowBlinds (HERE). WindowBlinds is the program you need to see any .wba. Give it a try.

In order to apply any skin you download you will need the cooresponding program to run it, in this case you need the WindowBlinds program to load and apply that skin.

Yeah, but it does NOT say you need the program to use the themes offered.

I've pointed this out on other occasions but....

To the unknowing user those little boxes at the top will appear to be nothing more than advertising. -_-

I agree.. to those of us who have it, we understand and know

Each description should start at the top something like:

Required software - Windowblinds

Required software - DesktopX

Hi everyone,

I guess I will through in a somewhat related noob question.  I've been hesitating for 3 days because it seems so stupid that I can't figure it out.

I have all of the progs, I bought Object Desktop Ultimate and got the other bits and pieces from Stardock.  My problem is that for the life of me I can't figure out how to download anything.  I see no download button or anything to suggest how to do it.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.  I'm running XP, by the way.  Thanks in advance!

Watkuweis, I don't know where you are posting from, but come to https://www.wincustomize.com/  and log on,click on the gallery tab and  get ready to download 'til you drop.;) Clicking on the skins thumbnail or name will take you to the description and the "big red button" that we all know and love here at WC.  There is also a listing of the galleries on the home page that you can edit to show just those sections you want to see.
Have fun and welcome to WinCustomize. :wc:

Hey Wizard,

With ALL DUE RESPECT what BIG red button ?

I have been using a computer since I was nine years old. We are talking Windows 2.0 and even I can't figure out how to download a new theme for Windows Blinds.

Everytime I click download all I get is a image of the theme I want to download.

So, please don't be sarcastic to people who ask questions because this person has every right to feel confused. I sure do.

cmbruyns, take a look at the date on the OP and on Wiz's reply. The site and Impulse have undergone some changes since then.

If you wish to download a skin, all you have to do is go to the Windowblinds Gallery and click on the "Download" button, and it should occur.

The program should open the skin automatically. You can click on the dialog that opens and apply the skin. ;)
