Can't get the update

V1.01 is out. But no updates are showing up in impulse. When I try to run the game in multiplayer, it says I have to get the update, and sends me to impulse--but doesn't do anything subsequent to that.

HALP!

(I'm using the latest version of Demigod prior to 1.01. I've never had a problem updating before. Demigod has been uninstalled and reinstalled one time. Could that make a difference? I doubt it but you never know...)

Sometimes it takes a while to show up. I wouldn't be able to tell you the official reason why, but I've had times when it wouldn't show up for an hour or so. There are a few things you could try: restarting Impulse a few times, hitting F5 in Impulse a few times (refresh), clicking the Impulse orb in the top left and "Check for updates..", Impulse Orb and reset data. Of those, reset data is most likely to work, but it can take a little bit.

Other than that, just wait and it will show eventually.

Solved. Had to run impulse as administrator. Don't think I ever had to before, though!

I changed my account name in impulse, when ever it logged on it said MGoldsmith is not a valid account blah blah balh, so i had to log on as Spinewire each time.

However when ever i would search for updates it was give the same error message about not being to bebale to log in as MGoldsmith. I changed it back and clicked the globe on the top left and seached for updates again and it worked.

Guess i will have to do this each time i want to patch....

p.s. i hate impulse.

Hey, I was about to start a separate thread about that, but since you mention it:

I keep getting the "unable to log in" message as well, I think because I changed my name a while ago. It says to log in to continue. But I can't figure out how to log in to Impulse!

What obvious "login" button am I missing?

Click the Impulse orb in the top left and there should be a "change login" option. You can also just use your email to log in so you can keep changing names and it won't have to affect the auto-login.
