Introduction + Query

Hello, I'm new to the forums, but not new to the GalCiv II universe.  I'm absolutely in love with the game, one of the best PC games I've ever played.  (sometimes I wish it could be ported onto the PSP, DS, or an iPod, but meh)

Now to my query, I've tried installing the Ultimate edition on my thumb drive so I can play it at work/school (that's right, I get paid to conquer the galaxy :)).  It works if I launch from the individual game .exe, but not from the GC2 launcher that lets you select the campaign.  The GC2 launcher has two selectable options, install (been done) and readme. It's not a major issue, but it would still be nice to be able to use the launcher.  Any thoughts on what the issue is and perhaps a fix?

Let me try to get an understanding of the situation. You've managed to install GalCiv 2 on your thumb drive. Using that, you have been able to play from school/work successfully? So everything, but the launcher, works to your satisfaction?

Is that a good summary, or did I miss something?

Good summary.  You know what I mean by the launcher, right?

/edit  Also, I am in need of a way to change the directory it saves game data in to my thumb drive.  Any thoughts?
