Doughnuts vs The Hubble Space Telescope

Being an avid Diablo II player, I'd like to offer my comparisons of this new game to the game I’ve been playing since the early 2000’s.

First off, the items in Demigod are considerably less varied than the ones in Diablo II; and since I base all opinions of similar games on my experience of Diablo II, Demigod’s lack of variation makes it awful.  In fact, because of Diablo II’s gem & ruin mechanic, it makes their items even more complex than it would appear on the surface.  A lot of the most powerful items require recipes in the Horadric cube, further enhancing the consequences of your purchase decisions.

Also, Diablo II is the most awesome game ever created.*  In fact, I don’t know why I even bother with similar games as any variation on the original masterpiece that is Diablo II would automatically make the game inferior.

Is this guys for real or just starting up a flame fest? DII is abotu as similar to DG as Half Life is to Grand theft auto. I like to see how you can cram the complexity of items from DII into a game that have an average match time of 20 mins.

The title should read "Doughnuts vs The Hubble Space Telescope"

On a related note: That would make an awesome name for a punk rock band.

Gawd this guy is an idiot. Totally different games, totally different genres.

This is like comparing elephant shit to dolphin shit, both take shits (items) and are animals (video games), but they are totally different species (genres).

We've got enough real trolls to deal with to have fake ones too (even in the name of humor)... moving this to offtopic. :p

Games stuck in 800x600 resolution make my eyes bleed. If not for that I'd still be playing Diablo 2, actually, though it doesn't have a damn thing to do with Demigod (or any other Stardock-published game for that matter).
