As I've mentioned in another thread before, when your game desyncs, it's no use trying to continue the game anyway. You might as well quit and restart the next game. A desync means the game state is no longer consistent between all players.

If a skill is used that requires a target and the desync window pops up before selecting that target, the cursor will be stuck attempting to select that target and will not allow you to select the 'ok' button

I just had the same experience as CdrRogdan... it completely ruined my Pantheon game. This is my first major gripe about this game, but i'd like to expand on it:

First Off, why do I (the user) need to click "Ok" to acknowledge a Desync? It hinders my game experience by FORCING me to acknowledge there is a lag issue. I'm usually well aware that there is. A little notice on the bottom right would suffice. Are you intentionally trying to make everyone aware that the multiplayer is broken?

Second, the cursor does dissappear, so if you can't find the Ok button while that window pops up, you're SOL. I was literally stuck in the middle of Exile for 5 minutes before I could finally play again, only to be interrupted by the same message 10 more times until the player was finally disconnected.

Stardock, GPG: UNBREAK your game.

I hadn't had a single issue until now. I'm incredibly disheartened by how unimpressive these updates are. They seem to just be replacing old problems with new ones.

A desync is not a lag issue. When a desync occurs, you are no longer playing the same game as anyone else in there. (For example, you see that you killed someone, while that person sees that they killed you.) When a desync occurs, the game is pointless to continue.

A desynced game might aswell be aborted then...

Yes, desynced games should be aborted. I don't know why they're not automatically.

I'm not sure you folks have it right. There was one person who had a ping of over 300 for most of the game. Near the end, he kept screaming about lag issues. That's when the Desync Detected issue came up. Now the rest of us were annoyed too, as it indicated that he was the problem. However, once he got disconnected the game was fine. During our rants, I noticed in the chat that he was describing what what was going on: "Lag kill", "get our Exp flag", etc.

In any case, I just wanted to finish the game. I was actually having fun until the error messages. The game just needs to get rid of the obnoxious notification system.
