Can't catch a rook

In single player (waiting to see in MP...) I always have trouble chasing rooks.

As the rook runs away, arrows constantly rain down on me (playing for example TB) and I seem to stutter along not able to get rooted enough to make a shot. It's like the arrows are interrupting my ability to shoot him and my ability to travel at normal pace.

Now this could of course be a rook advantage but it seems pretty huge if it is, I mean you can't counter that right ?

Anyone noticed similar ?

I think I've noticed this as well but didn't know what the problem was. I also notice that Rook sometimes has trouble getting away for the same reason, but he's the one shooting the arrows, not getting shot.

well high level rooks probably have the poisoned arrows upgrade to slow their enemies as they run away

this could feel like stopping cuz ur constantly being slowed down

If you are in firemode you have to stop to attack each time, so your move speed has to be faster. Switch to frost mode while chasing to fire while moving.
